Automatic Upsell and Expiration SMS

 

 

If you need a quick way to upsell customers or bring back customers who haven't visited the salon in a while, then you can enable automated SMS on your existing packages to upsell customers who recently purchased a package or with packages about to expire. 

Automatic SMS for Customer Packages About to Expire.

Tan link can send an automatic SMS to customers who have packages about to expire. In this message, you will be able to notify the customer about the packages that they have available and offer a deal to keep them as active customers.

This applies to all walk-in/prepaid packages where an expiration number of days was configured. See the example of the Expiration # of days in Update packages below:

If custom Start-End dates were used instead, please read the Fixed Date Expiration section in this article.

In General Settings, set up your Package Expiration Text and how many days before the package expires the SMS should be sent.

Search for "Package Expiration Text Blast" and edit the options listed below:
 
- Number Of Days: Set the number of days before the package expires for the SMS to be sent out.
  This applies to prepaid/walk-in packages with an expiration number of days.

- Message: Enter the message to be sent to the customer.  *This text is NOT meant to be sent with a link. 

   EG: Hi [firstname], your package is about to expire! Please contact us for a great deal!

Expiration SMS for packages with a Fixed Date.

When you manually enter the start and end dates for a prepaid/walk-in package in Update packages, the expiration SMS must be added to that package under Update Packages in the Deal Blaster section.

Enter the number of days prior to the expiration that the text should go out.

Then select a package to be sent for purchase (optional) and enter the message to be sent to your customers in the highlighted fields below:

Automatic SMS For Upselling EFT Packages

You can set an automated SMS to be sent X number of minutes after the EFT package was purchased.

In this message, you can offer a better package, and provide the membership description, perks, discounts, and tanning instructions. You can also add a keyword for automatic response.

Go to General Settings and search for this option: Package Sale Text Minutes. You will enter the Number Of Minutes from the package sale that the SMS is to be sent.

The SMS body is entered under Packages> Update Packages. Here you will select the EFT package and click on the XXXXX Tab. Then enter the message to be sent under First Text Message. 

EG. Hi [FNAME], your membership includes all equipment levels in our salon. Visit our online store for related products! www.sitename.tan-link.com/shop

If you want to set a follow-up SMS, then use the Second Text Message field. This message is sent out 24 hours after the EFT sale. You can use the 2nd message or leave it empty as needed.

EG. Hi [FNAME], thanks again for signing up for your membership. Use promo code GOLD VIP to upgrade to have more access to spa services, etc. Visit in-store to upgrade!
