Following is the recommended hardware for Tan-Link. If you already have some of the hardware, its likely you can re-use it. We strongly recommend at a minimum the iPad, card swipe and the USB-Serial adapter be purchased. **Even if you have an existing serial adapter, this one will function a lot better.
- Computer Specs
- Intel i7 processor
- 16GB Physical memory
- BIOS Date within the last 3 years
- We do NOT recommend an all in one computer. If any part goes bad the whole unit needs replaced and they tend to heat up.

- The following two computers we recommend and will fit your Tan-Link needs:
- iPad
- Ipad with 16 or 32GB that can be updated to latest iOS version. No mini's, as the screen will be too small to view the agreements. You can get refurbished ones from Ebay cheap (under $150) and they work just fine. You just don't want something too slow that will crash and cause payment issues.

- Camera
- Any decent webcam can be purchased on Amazon, typically ranging from $40-$80.

- Bar Code Scanner (rechargeable)
- We recommend a 2D scanner since it scans UPC and QR codes.
- Any 2D scanner will work as long as it has good ratings

- Bar Code (wired)
- iPad Holder
- USB-Serial Adapter
- Usually they will already be connected to T-Max but sometimes they are moving to a new windows, or the old one is flaky. This is a good adapter to purchase:

- Cash Drawer Adapter: If a cash drawer is attached and needs to be opened, this adapter will be required. Note that the cash drawer MUST be self powered, meaning if you disconnect the receipt printer there is a separate power cable going into the cash drawer.
- Note: These devices are not very well manufactured and we do not recommend or support them if they don't work. We suggest you use a regular cash box with a key instead of an electronic one.
