It is important to keep the Tmax computer on and connected to the internet.
If the Tmax comp is not online, you will not be able to set beds from any other device.
If power is lost, computers are turned off for the night, or a computer restart is required for any reason, the tmax services need to reconnect and start running before beds can be set from the computer.
Please follow these steps if you encounter bed/Tmax disconnection issues.
1. Locate the Reset Tmax icon on your desktop. If you do not see this icon on your computer desktop, you can download it here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZSRBMk_35MIx2JVq2rKj9PC0IsHghEpa/view?usp=sharing
2. To run this tool, Right-click on it and select Run as administrator. Depending on your Windows Version, you may need to scroll down and click on More Options> Run as admin.
3. If any other windows come up warning you of the application trying to make changes, please click YES to allow the program to run.
If nothing happens, please check for this icon on your taskbar.
You need to open it and Allow the reset tmax tool to make changes.
In this example, Windows blocked the tool. You can click on More Info> Run Anyway.
5. Wait for 30 seconds and refresh the Tan-Link page on Chrome until bed statuses are updated and test a bed.
Please use this tool every time power is lost, computers are restarted or turned off, or if beds are not set from the computer for any other reasons.
Windows Updates
Please look for this icon on your computer taskbar if the reset Tmax tool does not fix the issue.
If it is showing, click on it to open Windows Update settings and ensure the computer is up to date. The icon displayed above means the computer needs to restart before you can set beds from the computer.
Please see this guide on how to manage Windows Updates: https://tan-link.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/19425371434125--Managing-Windows-Updates
If you are waiting for support to be open, you can unplug the Tmax USB/SERIAL cord from the computer and then plug it back in after 5 seconds.
