When adding a new employee or promoting within the salon, you can give different permissions to each employee based on their access Level: Employee, Asst. Manager, Manager and Admin.

Here is a list of what each user profile can access by default.
EMPLOYEE:
Can set customers in beds, complete sales, and edit customer phone, email, address, etc
ASST. MANAGER:
By default, any staff member set as Asst. manager will be able to perform the following:
- Add a special note, Manager's note, Account Reminder, or Future membership change under the Membership Details tab
- Can add to inventory.
- View the Collections and Sticky Notes tabs
- Ability to view the number of credits/points on the account
- The General Settings menu item is enabled but only for limited options
MANAGER:
In addition to ASST. MANAGER, they also have access to:
- Update packages
- Ability to update most of the customer's information under the Membership Details tabs
- Ability to change the draft type under Billing, and be able to delete the customer's
- billing information from the profile
- Update Beds
- Can edit schedules
- This level is customizable to whatever your managers need access to.
ADMIN:
Has full access to everything and can view and control ALL options. (remove inventory, adjust or waive past dues, adjust draft dates, etc.) By default, ONLY admins can access the REPORTS and UPDATE STAFF menus.
The default permissions for each security level can be adjusted to fit your needs.
How to edit permissions by Security Level
Go to General Settings> Staff Security Level Settings. On this menu, you will be able to set a security level required for each of the provided options.
Available options
Staff permissions are listed by category and each of the options can be set to a different user level.
Calendar
- Calendar Schedule Delete Shift:
Security level to allow deleting a shift from the schedule.
- Calendar Schedule Edit:
Security level to allow adding shifts to the schedule.
Call Center
- Call Center:
This controls access to the Communications > Call Center menu.
Customer Orders
- Order Change Commission:
Who is allowed to modify the commission that is shown on the customer's profile underneath the total for an order.
- Order Change Date:
Security level to allow updating the date and time on an order in the customer's history by clicking on it.
- Order Change Employee:
Security level to allow updating the employee on an order in the customer's history by clicking on it.
- Order Change Status:
Security level to allow updating the status of an order between PENDING, PAID, or DECLINED on the customer's profile.
Customer Account Changes
- Override:
This controls access to Override for check-in in a customer account.
Special Note: This controls access to adding a Special Note to a customer account.
- Account Freeze:
This is the security level to allow an account to be frozen from the customer profile under Account Changes > Freeze Membership.
- Texting and Collections:
Security level to allow collection activities such as sending a text or an email from the customer's profile.
- Total Purchases and Last Item Purchased:
Security level to show the total account value for the past year (total purchases) as well as the last item purchased.
- Credits, Sessions, Packages, Expiration Dates, Bonus Bucks and ISA:
Security level to allow updating various things on the customer profile such as credits, sessions, packages, expiration dates, Bonus Bucks, ISA, etc.
- Customer Name Change:
Security level to allow changing a customer's name on their profile by clicking on it.
- Note Delete:
Security level to allow deleting a note from an account.
Goals Section
- Memberships Sold:
Security level to allow viewing of memberships sold on the right side stats window.
- Monthly Sales:
Security level to allow viewing total monthly in-store sales on the right side stats window.
- Appointments per Location:
This controls access to view the Appointment Screen listing appointments for the logged-in Location. Leave blank if the screen should not show.
- Dollar Per Tanner per Staff:
Security level to allow viewing of $/tanner on the right side stats window.
- Lotions sold:
Security level to allow viewing of lotions sold on the right side stats window.
Home Page
- Support Access:
This controls access to seeing the Support Icon (i) in the top right which opens the Support Site.
- Notice Window Change:
Security level to allow updating the notice on the front screen.
- Notice Window Store Selection:
Security level to change which stores the notice on the front screen is visible at.
- Use of Site Outside of the Salon:
This controls access to view the entire Site outside of the salon. All else will view the schedule and staff phone numbers only.
- Daily Activity Page View Employee Sales:
Security level to allow viewing sales of all employees on the daily activity page.
Products and Inventory
- Product Add to:
This is the security level for menu items Management > Add or Update Products, Update Stock or Place Order, and Add Categories.
- Inventory View Inventory:
Security level to enable the menu Staff > View Inventory
- Product Update all except Cost:
Security level to allow updating product name, UPC, Category, and price. Does not allow updating costs.
- Product Update Cost:
Security level to allow updating product cost.
- Inventory Add to:
This is the security level to allow employees to adjust the inventory count on products under the menu item Management > Update Stock or Place Order
- Inventory Remove from:
Security level to allow removing an item from inventory.
- Order Add to:
This is the security level to place an order for items under the Management > Update Stock or Place Order option.
- Order Place:
Security level to allow sending of a pending order to the supplier.

Reports
- Reports: This is the security level menu item Reports on the top navigation bar.
Staff Menu
- Update Staff:
This controls access to Staff > Staff > Update Staff submenu.
- Commission:
Enable viewing of commission underneath the sale amount on the customer's profile.
- Time Clock Report Update:
Security level to allow adding time clock entries as well as updating existing time clock entries. Timeclock, time clock, time card.
