TalentLMS is a great tool to integrate with Tan-Link to implement on-line staff training. Prior to integration you must sign up for a package with TalentLMS. See the current package options below. Once you have signed up, the following two item settings must be entered into your Tan-Link site to complete the integration: Talent LMS API Key and Talent LMS Domain Name.
Tan-Link Created Courses
Tan-Link has composed TalentLMS training courses which can be copied into your businesses TalentLMS account. There is a FREE account which will allow up to 5 users and 10 courses.
Once your account has been created, you will need to provide your Username and PW and we can copy these three courses into your site:
Tan-Link - Employee Module - Staff Function
Tan-Link - Site Setup for Admins
Tan-Link - Admin Module
They are specific to Staff Training, Site Setup, and the Admin function/actions/features in Tan-Link. Many questions you may have as you start your site setup or as you are LIVE with Tan-Link can be answered here.
**Please provide your account Username and PW if you would like to have these courses copied into your TalentLMS account.
Courses can be created in TalentLMS using the following content: Text, Web Content, Videos, Audios or images. There is no limit to the number of sections one can create in a course. Along with content, TalentLMS can be utilized to add Surveys, Assignments that require either a written reply or a video upload response from the assigned user, and most importantly Tests to see what information the Course User has retained.
Certain requirements can be set when creating a course to Pass it and Test Options set to allow the course to be retaken if not passed. A course can be reset and reassigned to a user at any time.
Tests can be set up using the following question types: Multiple Choice, Fill the Gap, Ordering, Drag and Drop, etc. We have found that Free text answers don’t work well, as the Test will require the exact same wording and spelling that you enter when creating the test, and it makes it hard for the user to pass it.
Users can be added to your TalentLMS site in three different categories.
- Admin- This type has an Administrator role and all related permissions
- Instructor – Allows option for Instructor-led training to combine online training with traditional, classroom-based (or online, but real time) seminars.
- Learners – All employees would be added into TalentLMS as Learners to assign courses to for completion
**At any time as an Admin, one can log into their site and view the status of ALL training courses assigned to their employees.
An employee once logged in, will see any pending course on the far right side of the Home Screen. An employee may click on any course title and it will automatically open up another window for them to complete the course.
