Tan-Link has a built-in scheduling feature. The schedule can be accessed from two locations in your software. The best place to enter a two-week schedule for your salon is by going to Staff > Schedules. This will open up a window that shows the schedule for the USER that is logged in. **Please note that you must select the wording of the location you want to edit the schedule for to create your schedule. You CANNOT edit or adjust it from this initial screen.
Once the location is selected, you can create your two-week schedule. As you can see from the image below the schedule is in two-week increments. You can view the previous two weeks, current two weeks and the Next Two week schedule. If your schedule starts on a different day of the week other than Monday, or the two-week period shown doesn't line up with your pay cycle please message support to adjust it.
Go to the day that you wish to add shifts to. To add a shift, you will select a box OR click on ADD A SHIFT. From here you will enter the Login ID of the employee staffing the shift. You will then adjust the time of the shift as desired. Hit ENTER. This will save the shift and it will appear on the schedule. To trash a shift, you can click on the Trash Can icon to the left of the shift as shown below and it will remove the shift completely. Tan-link will allow you to enter two different types of shifts. If the sales shift is check-marked it will be considered sales hours. IF you need to log training hours or admin hours you can uncheck the Sales Shift box. To adjust the type of hours, message support to have it enabled.
If an Admin, at the bottom of the schedule you will see the total hours for Week 1, the Total Hours for Week 2, and then the total hours for both weeks accumulated. At the very bottom, you will see SEND EMAIL.
Once this is clicked on, it will email the two-week accumulated hours to be processed for payroll. To adjust whom this email goes to, please go to General Settings > enter "payroll email" to search and enter the proper Name and email address for the payroll info to be emailed to.
Schedules can also be viewed by clicking on this icon at the top of your home screen.
From this window you can search employee shifts by date range and/or employee Login ID by entering the date in the date range and the employee LoginID in the Search box. You can also use the left and right arrows shown above to scroll to a different date range.
