By default, Tan-Link includes a list of Session Codes for sunless equipment. They can be used with Versa equipment and the name lists a description of what the code does when sent to the Versa Equipment.
These codes go from 1 to 99 and can be edited on your end to match the session codes provided by your sunless equipment manufacturer. See the Full list of default session codes we included on your site by default here:
Customize Session Codes
You can set up your sunless sessions in Tan-Link according to your equipment configurations.
1. Go to General Settings > Equipment > Update Session Codes.
You will create all your sunless codes here first.
- To add a new code, scroll to the bottom and click Add.
- You will enter the Equipment Type (Versapro, VersaSpa, Norvell, etc.)
- Then the Session Code that matches your Sunless equipment configuration.
(codes go from 1 to 99) - Then add/edit the Session Name.
This is used to identify what the equipment will do by sending the Code # to the Tmax manager. (such as 'Venetian' or Venetian Rapid'). - Click Save after filling in the information.
Multiple Locations or different equipment types with the same session codes.
The same session code # can be used for multiple beds if the equipment name is different, or the same Code # does something different at other locations.
The same code # can be added multiple times to this list as long as you add the corresponding equipment name to each entry and the names do not match other entries with the same code #
For each type of equipment with the same code #, you will name the solutions associated with each code.
Setting Up your Sunless Equipment With New Session Codes
Once your session codes are set up, you can add them to the corresponding equipment under General Settings > Equipment > Update Beds/Rooms.
If the Sunless equipment has not been created yet, please follow the steps in this article:https://tan-link.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360029953732-How-to-add-a-new-bed-or-equipment-to-Tan-Link
Please ensure you are logged into the location where the equipment codes will be added.
If logged into a different location, you will add the codes to the equipment at the wrong location.
Once the new room has been added to Tan-Link, please select it and edit the Session Type.
The session type name should describe the different solutions/levels available for that equipment.
(Clear, Bronze, Level 1, Etc.)
3. Under Max Time/Code, select Use Codes. The session codes that you previously created can be entered for this room now.
4. Under Session Codes, select only the codes that will be available when this room is open for a customer when a package that includes this 17-Versa Pro / Clear room is sold.
Sunless Upgrade Sessions
You can copy from this new room to make higher-level upgrades that include different session codes and separate the codes from other copies of the bed.
The Name must remain the same as the original equipment while the Session Type can be edited to describe the solution/level.
Then when you set up packages that include sunless sessions, you can select which of the sunless rooms with different levels and session codes is included upon package purchase.
Generally, if it's the same cost to get an upgrade, those codes can be put in the same bin.
For example, the moisturizer and skin balancer may both cost $7, so you can put both codes in one bin and when you sell the package name it something like 'gold upgrade' and they can do either moisturizer or ph with this package.
Then you can sell both upgrades together for $12 in a package that includes 2 sessions to this bed. This allows them to do combos with 1 package.
Press Update Bed to save your changes.
Issues After Changing Existing Codes
If you make a change to the code number on an existing code, after it has already been assigned to a room, the new code will show in Update Beds/Rooms but will show the old code when setting the beds. To fix this, you need to do the following:
- Go to General Settings > Equipment > Update Beds/Rooms > Select the Bed > Remove the check mark for the code(s) > Update Bed.
- Go back and checkmark the codes > Update Bed.
