How to setup the Automated Chatbot Check-In – Tan-Link

The chatbot can handle customer check-in by mobile, and can be placed on your online store or on your website.

To choose which rooms you want to allow to be available on the bot, go to General Settings > Equipment > Update Beds/Rooms and enter a name for the bed under ChatBot Waiting List Name.

This is the name visible to your customer, so you can call it anything you like and can be different from the name in the system.

For any equipment you add a name here, the chatbot will first show the Group for the customer to choose from (the groups are also listed in your Update Beds section, and can be re-named upon request). Once they choose the group, they will choose the bed with the name you provided.

After the customer checks-in, they will appear in the waiting list on the main screen as well as all customer screens to notify staff that someone is waiting. The customer can then be texted with the BED READY button when the equipment is ready for them.

The messages the bot uses can be modified under general settings, search for 'TL Bot'.

How to Place on Your Online Store:

It will appear on your online store link automatically, which is https://sitename.tan-link.com/shop where sitename is your Tan-Link site name.

How to Place on Your Own Website:

Search in General Settings for Chat Bot Java Script to find what you need to copy as-is for your website.

Different types of websites may have different instructions, here are common ones.
