You can now set any package to be activated on demand instead of activated on sale. Setting a package to Activate On Demand leaves the package un-activated on the customer's account with an Activate button below it.
This is great for selling deals ahead of your promotion days, and for any time a Customer is ready to purchase a package but not ready to use it.
The Activate on Demand Feature lets you choose which package can activate upon a successful sale and which can activate on demand. Whether it is a time-based package or a session-based package, the activate button will start the package and open up your equipment.
What I Need to Know
Activate on-demand is available for Prepaid/Walk-in sessions only.
Package stacking must be disabled on your site to allow the Active on Demand Feature to be used.
By default, stacking is enabled on all sites.
When stacking is enabled and multiple packages of the same kind are sold on a customer's account, Tan-Link will add up the package expiration days and the number of sessions into one single package box.
With Activate On Demand, Stacking does no longer apply to any packages that are sold moving forward. When selling multiple packages of the same kind, they will create an individual package box instead of merging into 1.
The activate button feature will only apply to packages sold after the feature is added and the activate button will not show on packages that were sold before this feature was enabled.
You can click on the Activate button to start this package.
Bed access will be updated and the number of expiration days will start counting down.
The start/end date can only be edited for packages that have been activated.
Please reach out to support to verify how package stacking currently works for your site and to ensure this feature is enabled on your site.
How to enable Activate on demand for my packages?
You will need to go to Packages> Update Packages > Package Start/End & Activation to edit the activation type for each package.
You can either let the package activate automatically on the day it's sold or set it for manual activation by using the Activate button.
You can select a different activation for each package.
If set to Activate on Sale, the package will start immediately when it's sold. Bed access and deduction settings apply immediately. If session packages should start on the day they were purchased, then set the activation to "Activate on Sale". No activation is required.
If set to Activate on Demand, then the package will have the activation button and will start once you activate it. Beds that are allowed on this package will NOT become available until it's been activated. If any packages should start on a date different from the sale date, then set it to "Activate On demand." The Activate button will show on the package when sold.
The number of days entered under Expires (Days) will determine when the package will be removed from the account after activation. Please do not set a package Start /End dates when using Activate on Demand.
If activate on demand is configured and you sell a 1 session package 5 times on the same customer account, 5 package boxes will be added with the activate button.
When activated, each package box will have 1 session and 30 days for expiration. Expiration starts counting from the day the package was activated.
